A kindergarten teacher becomes dysphasic during class and suddenly has a seizure. She has no history of any prior illness. At the hospital, she progressively gets worse and loses her vision and has further seizures. Upon speaking with her spouse, we are told that she is a health and fitness addict. She exercises regularly and prefers food to be as unprocessed as possible (e.g. raw veggies and meats). She does not present with any electrolyte or nutrient imbalance. Why would food consumption play a big role here?
