Developing an Evaluation Plan
Evaluation Plan for Improving Nursing Staff Satisfaction
To measure the success of any project, an evaluation needs to be conducted to analyze the project implementation process. An evaluation plan requires a comprehensive analysis of the project to determine if the project is viable or not. Implementing changes that would bring nursing staff satisfaction is a process that involves several personnel to perform additional duties; meaning that during the initial planning process there is need for frequent supervision and constant evolution to ensure that the project is on track as required (WHO, n.d.).
Several factors contribute to the project success; these factors need to be considered when developing an evaluation plan to produce an accurate report. It is important to conduct an evaluation because through the process, problems can be identified, and a quick solution be generated to solve the problem immediately. These are some of the reasons for developing an evaluation plan because it helps in making decisions on how best to go about implementing a project (WHO, n.d.). Evaluation Methods

Staff attitude is an important variable because staffs are the key players when initiating any changes (WHO, n.d).
In the process of improve nursing staff’s satisfaction, a lot of effort is required from staff to realize the desired changes. Conducting interviews is one of the strategies to gauge staff attitude and also acquire knowledge about the turnover rate before the changes were implemented and their attitude after the implementation of these changes. If the staff turnover rate is lower than before this means the plan is on track as anticipated. On the other hand, if the staff turnover is high after implementing the plan it means the staff are not responding towards the changes that might hinder the success of the whole process. To rectify the problem staff needs to be motivated and also be assisted in managing the stressful working environment to improve the overall job satisfaction (Cheung-Larivee, 2011).
Similarly, staff satisfaction can be analyzed using patient discharge pr...
