Currently, healthcare systems are no longer than ever before. The increased life expectancy, emergence of complex health issues, technological advancement, and workforce shortages and discontent has made provision of quality care challenging. It is even more puzzling when healthcare providers lack sufficient skills and knowledge. Nursing education encourages nurses to develop skills and tools they require to impact patient lives positively (Mackey & Bassendowski, 2017). Such knowledge and understanding of best practices ensure delivery of positive outcomes and help nurses forge a commitment to being professional, keeping up to date, continuously seeking improvement, and ultimately providing patients with the best care.
