My initial response to the quote was that disruptions are not good in the medical field. However, I realized that such disruptions are made to improve the quality of healthcare in the future. This changes my perception, and I believe that the disruptions might be worth it in the long run.
The idea of creating disruption in the workplace makes me concerned because it might affect the quality of healthcare offered to patients. When a disruption occurs, healthcare practitioners have to adapt to the changes. Adapting to change is one of the most challenging things to do in a workplace. If the process of change is not effective enough, it might have negative impacts on the employees and the clients. In this case, the change will affect patients where a nurse might not offer adequate care due to the confusion caused by the disruption.
Innovation in the medical field refers to the introduction of different methods and medicine for treating patients. Once the innovation has been implemented, it improves the quality of healthcare and people's wellbeing. Therefore, it is impossible to have innovation without disruption not unless the innovation will not be implemented.
