In any formal setup, professional presentations are crucial. They help individuals communicate particular points clearly and concisely, while the delivery itself also enhances the aura of professionalism around the topic. It is perhaps the main reason why people are often encouraged to learn and perfect the art of such presentations. It helps a lot both on the side of the presenter as well as the message being put across. It is, however, not an easy task for everyone. Each individual has got his or her own hardships when it comes to presenting the same. It calls for additional skills such as public speaking as well as oratory skills.
Although I am not a recognized speaker, I have various strengths and weaknesses regarding professional presentations. My biggest strength is how I combine my voice’s volume, pitch, and pace. I am usually audible enough for an audience within an average-sized room, even without using the microphone. I know how to balance my voice so that it is neither too high nor too low. I understand the negative impacts of voice pitch on the message being conveyed, as well as on an audience. The message can quickly be distorted if the delivery is too loud or too low, while the audience can quickly become either bored or irritated as well.
