Business Goals
For any business organization to work well, it needs to have well-established goals to which they are determined to achieve. Business goals are important as they give the direction and focus of the organization. The business goal of my organization is to be an exceptional healthcare provider in the country by supporting and training healthcare professional and researchers. The business goal is the driving force, and everyone works towards this goal. To improve healthcare, the organization decided to invest in nursing professionals as they play the primary role in improving healthcare. This discussion narrows down the importance of the business goal of the organization and how it factors into the business need of the problem statement.
The problem statement is that despite having clinical alert systems and electronic health record, health organizations still have the challenge of poor decision making with a lot of medical errors. Considering the business goals and the need to improve health care, integrating these two computer systems may improve the efficiency in clinical alerts at the same time having an excellent record-keeping system. Merging the two systems into one user-friendly system requires high programming knowledge but exciting.
