Interdisciplinary Plan Proposal to Curbing Interdisciplinary Barriers in Nursing
This proposal aims at solving the barriers to interdisciplinary cooperation in nursing. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for enhancing care delivery and ensuring that quality care is sustained across the organization. Notably, interdisciplinary collaboration is crucial in eliminating errors, duplicating care, and clarifying roles (Moe & Brataas, 2016). In addition, collaborations between nurses, physicians, and clients help them understand the goals and processes to attain those objectives. This plan will be carried out in the patient wards, theatres, and patient relations departments. The expected outcome is increased nurse satisfaction, eliminating medical errors, patient safety, and improvement.
Objectives
The primary objective of this plan is to increase communication and improve teamwork among the various disciplines in the hospital setup. This objective is in line with the organizational goal of prioritizing the recovery process of patients. The increase in communication and teamwork reflects an improvement in interdisciplinary cooperation, reducing barriers in multidisciplinary collaboration in nursing (Moe & Brataas, 2016). The second objective is to improve nurse satisfaction and related communication markers of safety and quality. This second objective resonates with the organization's goal to achieve higher nurse retention and safer patient care. Therefore, if these objectives are successfully achieved, they will help improve patients' recovery by minimizing medical errors.

It is likely to consume more resources than planned because of unforeseen needs that may need money. For instance, the team might want to open a particular office to address issues and challenges from implementing the plan. This office will record and address challenges emanating from the enforcement of the plan.
2 How much time will the implementation of this plan waste from the involved professions?
The program will waste some time from the involved disciplines as they consult each other. However, this "wasted" time is worth it because the consultation aims at preventing any possible errors that might happen when handling the patients. Furthermore, the time wasted will reduce drastically because the representative from the various involved disciplines will already have background information from the other representative. Thus, the prior knowledge will help save time.
3 How cooperative are physicians and nurses likely to collaborate in the implementation of the plan?
Supremacy and inferiority complex is a common issue among disciplines that are expected to work together. For example, senior surgeons and other physicians often feel that they are superior to nurses. This might make them decline to cooperate or provide scanty information when required. On the other hand, nurses might not be entirely comfortable sharing with a phy...
