Assessment Description
While the implementation plan prepares students to apply their research to the problem or issue they have identified for their capstone project change proposal, the literature review enables students to map out and move into the active planning and development stages of the project.
A literature review analyzes how current research supports the PICOT, as well as identifies what is known and what is not known in the evidence. Students will use the information from the earlier PICOT Question Paper and Literature Evaluation Table assignments to develop a 750-1,000 word review that includes the following sections:
Title page
Introduction section
A comparison of research questions
A comparison of sample populations
A comparison of the limitations of the study
A conclusion section, incorporating recommendations for further research
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Introduction
Home Healthcare service providers often face logistics problems in how they distribute workloads and shift to nurses across a geographical area of operations (Emiliano, Telhada, & Carvalho, 2017). These problems have been exacerbated by the recent increase in demand for nurses and the emerging issues of burnout (Haddad & Annamaraju, 2022). Logistics solutions have been found to improve service provision, enhance care safety, shape the quality of care, and influence patient satisfaction and the health and well-being of nurses and other staff members within the HHCs (Fathollahi-Fard et al., 2020). Thus, the picture question for the current project is: In aging patients with short-term in-home care, does patient satisfaction increase when a service provider relies on a logistics plan compared to satisfaction when the service provider does not rely on a logistics plan within two months of care? The current paper aims to expand on the literature evaluation that informs on the potential solution to the current picot question.
A Comparison of Research Questions
In the research by Irani et al. (2018), the aim was to describe how home health nurses plan their daily work schedules and the challenges they face in the planning process. This aim is vital for the current study because these schedules form the basis for nurse transportation logistics. Thus, the research question was to establish how nurses schedule their daily routines and the problems they face, including transportation from one client to another promptly, while doing this planning. In contrast, Zikhathile and Atagana (2018) posed the challenges facing home-based caregivers in the management of health care risk waste? The authors highlight how the lack of logistical solutions wastes time and fuel for nurses and their organizations in answering this question. In providing a potential solution to these logistical problems, Govindan et al. (2020) investigated the efficacy of DSS in demand management during the pandemic. Outcomes suggest that DSS is an effective logistics solution. Lastly, Dall'Ora et al. (2020) focus on the causes and impact of burnout in nursing and its association with travel time during work hours.
A comparison of Sample Population
In answering these questions, each of the researchers in the resources in the previous section utilized a sample population for research. Dall'Ora et al. (2020) conducted a theoretical review in which a sample of 87 contemporary peer-reviewed articles was analyzed. These articles were obtained across databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, and MEDLINE. This is the only study in the current selection that does not involve human subjects. In the other three studies, there were three different sample sizes: 20 registered nurses (Irani et al., 2018) and 80 caregivers (Zikhathile & Atagana, 2018), and 191 healthcare organizations (Govindan et al., 2020). These sample populations wer...
