Barriers to EBP Change Proposal
EBP is currently the best way of implementing change within a clinical or medical setup and hence helps improve healthcare in society. A good application of EBP entails successfully incorporating and integrating the medical personnel and patients to identify the best possible alternative for a given clinical challenge. However, achieving this success is more challenging than it sounds, as there are always some barriers that must be overcome. The two main barriers are a need for sufficient funding for the process and a lack of motivation from the nurses to bring the process to fruition.
Insufficient funding has always been the biggest challenge for any EBP proposal (Rahmayanti, Kadar & Saleh, 2020). For an EBP proposal to be successfully implemented, it is necessary to acquire the necessary equipment. There has to be a thorough research process to collect the facts and build them into a singular body of knowledge.
