Use of Electronic Health Records to Improve Quality of Care Stakeholders in the healthcare industry have long debated about the use of electronic healthcare records (EHRs) as proper management technique of improving the quality of care. In support of this issue, researchers and policy makers have decided to campaign for the implementation of the same. Varied researches indicate that information technology healthcare record is a meaningful way of enhancing efficient care outcomes in different parts of the world (Jha et al., 2009). In a quest to improve the quality of care, varied healthcare organizations in the US have resorted to the adoption of electronic healthcare records. A properly synchronized EHR system does not only contain patient data, but it also acts as a platform for analytical determination of the future success of patients (Jha et al., 2009). With the help of analytic enabler, EHRs is perceived as a powerful tool that increases the capacity for extracting of knowledge while at the same time, projecting the future of quality care.  To promote daily clinical practice, record management must be embraced as part of the progressive quality care. Therefore, this study is designed to describe findings of research on how three different organizations’ uses of predictive analytics by comparing and contrasting the results to project the future of quality care. Overview of the EHR System HER systems that are integrated as part of the decisions support system can enhance screening, diagnostic and treatment recommendation from clinical guidelines. In that respect, it promotes evidence based care. Besides, the functionality of a computerized physician has progressively contributed at improving the quality of care. With the aid of EHRs, clinicians are better placed   to project dosage, medication and consider the provision of adverse effects of the certain clinical conditions (Campbell et al., 2006). While EHRs is becoming a common practice in most American institutions, not all hospitals have fully embraced the use of EHRs. Some of the three organizations that have fully embraced the use of EHRs include; Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital and UCSF Medical Center (Campbell et al., 2006).  From a report obtained at Surgical Quality Improvement in the Era of Big Data, it can be observed that the adoption of EHRs has greatly improved the quality of care as reflected among patients associated with different complications in table 1. Predictive analytical results obtained from the three institutions also gives a clear reflection of quality improvement after the adoption of the EHRs. Clinical Data Obtained From the Three Healthcare Institutions Below is a clinical data obtained to conduct analytical projection of the benefits of EHRs after a period of four years, the data were meant for the three organizations.  The understanding of the predictive data is to convert data into information and knowledge.
