Strengths
I have several years of experience in the teaching profession. Over the past years, I have acquired sufficient knowledge and experience to deal with various different scenarios in the workplace. I have been able to work with various students with an array of characteristics. My exposure to the diverse workplace serves as my strength (How to Do a SWOT Analysis, 2019). I do not feel lost in any teaching facility; with a few instructions, I can carry out my duties as required in the description. Working for such a long time has also enabled me to work with patience from diverse cultural backgrounds. I believe I am competent enough to respect and work according to any student’s cultural beliefs and practices. In the past, I have worked with Native Americans, Latinx, and middle eastern cultures well. I know what to expect and how best to help them feel that they can trust me enough for me to help out with their problems.
Weaknesses
My main weak point mainly has to do with acquiring new skills and using modern technology. I often find that I am often left behind in using freshly acquired equipment and methodologies in the workplace. Being a little conservative in my approach has led me to trust the old tested methods that I have employed in the past. I realize that this is something that I need to work on urgently because technology is quickly changing. I have to adapt quickly or get left behind. My weakness revolves around the use of modern technology in the teaching field. I am determined to ensure that I improve on this and develop even better skills to strategically place myself for the future.
