Health disparities arise from the differences in population, gender, race, income, and geographical location. All these contribute to the quality and effectiveness of the services people get from different healthcare institutions. It is one of the arising and consistent issues governments work hard to restore, solve, and ensure the whole country has an unbiased healthcare system for every of its citizen (Health Leeds, 2020). It has an impact on families, especially with children living with chronic conditions. Solutions can be enacted to solve the problem. Here is an analysis of various disparities; racial discrimination, poverty, geographical origin, their impacts on families having children with chronic conditions, and the most likely solutions that the government can adopt.
Racial discrimination existed for several years in the United States. People did not access quality medication in some facilities because they originated from other regions. Some people, mostly the Native Americans, had an advantage to first-class treatment and healthcare services. In the end, there was a clear-cut line of the people who are to receive specific treatments from various health facilities. If one health facility were not properly endowed to give the services direly needed, the patients would likely lose their lives. In the early 20th century, smallpox broke in the United States as a borrowed disease. With the development of immunization procedures, some people could afford it, and some could not. This was large because of the notion that it originated from another race, hence the denial of proper healthcare services.
