The project approach will support challenging behaviors because students learn to solve problems that are relevant to them, meaning they are more engaged in the process. As noted by Kaiser and Rasminsk (2017), apart from teaching a sense of community and problem solving, the project approach also prevents challenging behavior.
The project approach will also support diverse cultures because it involves students working together in groups. The inclusion fostered by the project approach means that students from different cultural backgrounds can participate in group tasks and share their experiences and knowledge with others. This also means students have a great opportunity to learn from other cultures. 
The project approach will also support varied abilities from different students. The approach addresses the differences in the learning capabilities of students because it accommodates all learning modalities during the research and problem-solving process (Edutopia, 2007).
