New Aspect in the Video
The new information captured in the video is that early learning among children is powerful because it happens first. Therefore, children become perfect at activities they learn first. On the other hand, children's first three years are crucial because they learn more about themselves through interacting with parents, guardians, instructors, and colleagues in a different environment. The idea confirms that children should not only be around parents and guardians but also other parties to make them learn best. For example, the video shows parents taking their children to kindergarten. They interact with other children and learn different activities such as drawing and forming friendships (Babies and toddlers: Amazing learners, 2015). In the video, empowering children to view themselves as competent is also another information new to me. Initially, I thought that a parent should assist a child at three years in doing all activities. I have learned that children should carry out some of the activities on their own to give them a sense of responsibility. Therefore, parents and guardians should allow children to perform the same activities such as washing, sweeping, mopping, and drawing. These activities make them feel valued and responsible, which is fundamental to becoming valuable members of society. The parents should monitor these activities to correct and ensure they don't get injured.
