A person’s upbringing plays a significant role in shaping that person. Hence, everyone has experiences at home and with their family that shaped the person they have become. Furthermore, a person must interact with people from various backgrounds in schools or elsewhere. Specifically, teachers and parents must have a positive relationship to lead the students’ academic and behavioral success (Britto et al., 2017; Epstein, 2019). Therefore, a teacher whose opinions differ from those of parents must still understand the parents’ perspectives.
As a teacher, I learned most of my qualities and traits from my family. However, I am confident that, while my views and characteristics differ from those of others, they will never impede my understanding of people. As mentioned in the first part, I grew up in a family that listens to everyone's opinions and voices. I am putting to use the skills that I have learned.
