The young learners are usually faced with a lot of challenges especially when they are learning. The challenges they face may be cognitive, social or emotional and they often impact on their learning. The various stakeholders should then offer support to the adolescents and enable them succeed. However, the identity, individuality and behavior of the student may also affect his learning. Technology also plays a big role in improving learning of students by providing resources and assists in doing research.
The cognitive development can be referred to the style in which people perceive issues. This perception can impact on education differently. This development makes it possible for learners to focus and think about things around them. This may affect studies as different experiences are gained every day. The development can also affect learning as students use ability to manage and respond to different exposure daily. The cognitive development makes it possible for the learner to take the ideas and process them for certain intention and purpose (Boyd & Bee, 2015). 
The social development is the way children learn to interactive with other learners around them. The social development affects learning in different ways in schools and outside classrooms. The development of the language skills enables the learner to interact with others in school and learn some ideas from other students. The learners can learn the self-awareness through the own feelings and thoughts in the learning environment. Learning can also get affected by the social development especially in the gaining of the bad behaviors which may be liberal to education. The social development also affects learning especially in engaging in bad peer pressure, non- cooperative learners. It also enables learners to make friends for learning and consequently improve learning.
The learning differences can be evident in the quality character and response of people. This affects development and studying positively or negatively. For matters of individuality, distinct characteristics of people have different effects on learning and development. If the individual learner has the best characteristic favorable in learning different from others, then he will attain the best in learning and develop well. The identity development is very crucial in the learning and development of people. The changes that occur in young adolescent may affect the learning of the individual learner as the changes in emotional, psychological and social changes affect negatively learning. The young adolescent may become rude as a result of the changes in the body and therefore cause non-cooperation from teachers and parents. The changes that take place in girls in puberty can lead to discomfort and therefore affect learning and their proper development.
