My theorist is Albert Bandura. Bandura uses a social cognitive approach that primarily focuses on how individuals learn from one another through observation. Social cognitive is an approach that involves learning through a social process. Albert Bandura, as a theorist, resonates broadly with my academic journey as he places learning within a social context.
Bandura aligns with my journey because his approach is premised on the role played by social influence in an individual’s learning process. The theorist approach explains a person’s behavior by defining how individuals acquire certain behaviors and how the social climate influences these behaviors (Bandura, 2001).
