The transformation of resources and services into commodities is a significant factor influencing all cultures. Food commodification has resulted in today's hegemonic industrialized society. It has gained complete control over global agricultural trade and is gradually exercising control over farm inputs such as grains, farmlands, agrochemicals, and machinery, thus failing to feed the world's growing population sustainably (Holt-Giménez, 2017).
