Considering the questions, I would respond to the supervisor by first apologizing for sparking massive speculation that the mayor's health may bar her from completing the term in office. An apology is a crisis management strategy that demands the use of the best crafted message delivered by the most effective method to the audience (Fearn-Banks, 2016).I commented that the mayor's health was worsening and that she had a slight chance of recuperating. This comment is likely to create public fear and anxiety, with many concerned about whether the mayor would survive (Brown, 2004). The comment would also leave the public wondering about the level of professionalism in hospitals and news media. This would likely reduce public trust in the hospital due to the hospital's failure to act ethically.
