According to the article, homosexuality is not a lifestyle but a genetic orientation that the people who are gay are born with. The ‘gay gene’ is said to be the ultimate test indicating that the gay people cannot do anything to influence their sexual orientation as it is something that is hard wired (Dvorsky, 2012). The press has been one of the platforms that have been used widely to relate to the idea of the gay gene, forming campaigns and even songs about it.
The reality is that there is no gay gene and if there is no one has found it as yet. Some of the studies that relate to the brain patterns were actually complicated by the HIV infection. Other than that, what the researchers do not say is that the studies were not carried out on large and controlled groups (Cohen, 2014). Hormones are also said to have a part in the matter, but the reality is that there has never been published results of measured hormonal levels with the same indication. Most of the revelations have been built around proxies, without the hard evidence.
As of today, there is no relation of the gene that causes the differences in heights among the population, human sexuality is much more complex than height. This can only be a highlighter that a complex phenomenon such this fabricated. T...
