History books and historical cinema give an account of significant historical events. The main issue is how to translate the events be it in books or historical cinema without losing their content. Accordingly, the two pose some differences in regard to how they present the historical events. Cinema is a more preferred way of actual representation of certain kinds of historical phenomena as compared to history books. Historical cinema is much visual, and it is oral in nature making it more communicative than history books (Hayden, 1998).
