Visit a museum that focuses on cultural history, preferably the history of a certain cultural group, and spend at least an hour observing the exhibits and listening to the guide (if one is available). Observe aspects of culture as they are presented in the museum and also notice evidence of conflict in their history.
Write an essay of 500-750 words about the experience. Where did you go? Who went with you? How long did you stay? What did you learn about the people and how conflicts have shaped their history? What were the positive outcomes of the conflict? What lingering scars do people carry with them from the experience?
Reflect on how much this experience stretched your comfort zone and how this observation could affect your intercultural communication.

History is of great importance to us since it reminds as of the past cultures, history and events that occurred. However, cultures are broad thus museums are created in order to keep in this kind of cultures. Different museum’s exhibit unique cultures and stories that makes up the history. Therefore different people can access such information about different cultures and historic events that they may be in need of in a museum. Beside culture and history, museums are also a source of income to the United States since people pay in order to visit and conduct their studies. In this paper I am focusing on the experiences I went through when I visited a particular museum in Indiana, United States.
Where did you go and who went with you?
I visited the Indiana State Museum that is located on Indianapolis near the white River state Park. This museum focuses on science, art, history and the culture of Indiana. Moreover it is considered to be a source of the IMAX screen. In reference to history, this museum was established during the civil of 1862. During the beginning, it started to collect minerals and labeling them before they were put in a cabinet. I was accompanied with my close friend who was anxious to visit the museum and also study the art and culture of Indiana.
How long did you stay?
My stay in the museum was close to three hours. I prolonged my stay in the museum because I was very anxious to study the culture and art of science. The museum is also large thus it had to take me some time to go through the many events that took ...
