The stories narrated by the subordinated individuals’ triggers moments of optimism for the transformation of the United States political and social culture. Anita Hill, a stigmatized citizen, testifies about the muted and anxious history of her imperiled nationality to a hostile public (Berlant, 1997). Hill’s testimony is viewed as an act of heroic teaching because she is compelled to acknowledge the privileged people by trusting that they can change by believing in their desire not to be inhuman. The minority people perform these hazardous theatrical acts because they trust that the honored individuals of national culture will react to the sublimity of reason, these moments are known as Diva Citizenship. Moreover, she sets the narrative into a suspending animation where she defies her audience to recognize with the courage she had to produce because of the enormity of the suffering. The Diva moments measure how big the public is, crossing a range of public spheres and media forms from the Old Testaments to CNN.
