The United States is one of the countries that take part in the stem-cell research. In the last decades, some of the European nations have become the leading centers in the stem cell research and their possible therapeutic uses. However, the cultural traditions of the European countries differ from those of the United States. For instance, the Americans are more individualistic and are less supportive of a strong safety net than are the publics of Britain, France, Germany and Spain.
