There is no organization that can thrive without change. Change means introducing new thinking as well as a new way of doing things in the organization. As a leader, it is important to find a way of developing an organizational environment where others can apply innovative thinking to come up with solutions to problems and design new products and services. The leader should ensure that he grows a culture of innovation instead of hiring others to do so (Kouzes & Posner, 2012).
Innovation means experimenting with new ways of thinking and the leader is responsible for ensuring that they create an environment where the employees can make this to happen. This leadership is definitely not guaranteed to bring results and is based more on experimentation than on certainty.
