Walmart is the largest most and most known retailer in the world. When it comes to retail, Walmart beats Amazon, the former sales in the U.S are $340 billion, while the latter’s sales in the U.S are $122 billion. For more than 50 years of their service, they consistently offer low every day goods for their customers. Due to its affordable and relatively low prices, Walmart has become popular among ordinary U.S citizens. This is mainly because of their excellence in their field and their commendable Supply Chain Management (SCM).
Indeed, Walmart's supply chain management has made their product cheaper and affordable. According to SCCG (n.d.), effective implementation of supply chain management guarantees the raw materials arrived at manufacturing facilities consistently on time, thus avoiding the need to get additional materials from other sources.
They are known to have the most advanced supply management chain method. That is why they have succeeded in the field of businesses, and that is what makes them unique. They utilize technology as their advantage in tracking stocks and monitoring products,, thus reducing waste transportation money. They have implemented all their efforts and expertise in making their product and merchandise low in cost.
