In class, we have learned about different aspects of formulating strategies in the market. In this aspect, the classwork has entailed understanding why many companies engage in internal business like Amazon. Additionally, among these aspects and others that we have been able to learn in class, the links to the reading material, which at some point seems to be the material used to extract the information we have learned in class.
Moreover, in class and in the provided reading, we have discussed aspects of company profiles to help understand why they end up successful in the international market. After 2013, Amazon has reported a new $2 billion in investment in India, and Flipkart, Indian's leading e-retailer, has announced it is pouring new money of $1 billion into India (Choice & Entry, 2000). Flipkart, the Indian founder of E-commerce, founded in 2007 by two former employees of Amazonia, had 22 million users registered but lost revenue. Amazon only joined India in 2013 but is heading into the marketplace of e-restaurants and getting a foothold before Walmart extends its e-commerce business.
The reasons for entering into the global market are learned in class, and the reading well explains the aspect where they are divided into reactive and proactive reasons.
