Fast food business is one of the most competitive businesses in the United States. To stay ahead of the stiff competition, companies have to formulate different strategies to beat competition (Visser, 2017). Dunking donuts and Groovy donuts are some of the leading fast food chains that deal with Donuts and other types of fast foods. Dunking donuts was established in 1950 by William Rosenberg while Groovy donuts was established in 2015 by Monica Lucas and Andrew Gauthier who are both graduates Michigan State University. Some of the dunking donuts parent companies include Starbucks, and Yum China whose primary mission is to expand in almost and focus on contemporary menus. Groovy donuts main focus is to conquer Michigan and spread to other States. Dunking donut’s vison is to make use of their competitive advantage over newcomers such as grooving donuts to expand their business. Dunking Donuts services are faster and better that those of upcoming companies since they have learnt the dynamics of the industry over time.
In the fast food industry, there has been stiff competition and the smaller fast food chains such as dunking donuts and groovy donuts have found themselves at the receiving end due to giant food chains such as McDonald’s.
