Purpose of the group project
The purpose of this group project is to have you work in teams to assess the performance and direction of a real company based on the course tools and concepts. Your grade is based strongly on your ability to comprehend and apply the concepts of this course. So, when in doubt, be sure to demonstrate clearly your understanding of the materials, tools, information, and frameworks covered in this course.
Guideline of the group project
The group project should be an in-depth case analysis of a local (San Francisco/Bay Area headquartered) organization not otherwise covered in class. The analysis must apply multiple concepts from the course to help better explain the strategies, actions and performance of a given organization.
Each group is expected to prepare and present to the class a less than 15-minute presentation of the results of the group project as well as no more than 15 pages (excluding references), double-spaced with standard margined, and 11pt font of a comprehensive written report. A full list of references should be attached at the end. You can use APA or Chicago style for the reference. All additional materials, including tables, graphs, figures, interviews, media reports and press releases, should be appended to the end of the report.
