Companies always seek to expand their activities beyond the borders of their parent countries. However, taking a company global or international is not an easy endeavor. First of all, it is a risk because the international community may or may not warm up to the company’s product or service, and in terms of numbers this would be a big loss. Secondly, the state of the international community can make it difficult for the company to flourish. The word state above encompasses the political, cultural, social, and economic aspect of the destination countries. However, this article only seeks to explain the political and environmental aspects and their impact on global marketing. Politics is an important consideration in global marketing. The political state of a country can dictate or determine the success or failure of an expansion plan. Environmental conditions can also affect global marketing and either further its success or contribute to its downfall. The political and environmental aspects are indeed important considerations which can greatly impact global marketing.
