Outlining a Training Program Proposal
Develop an outline for an effective training program focused on adult employees. Include the following in your outline:
Define a safety-related need that could be met using your training. Explain what resources you would use to define this need. Create at least two objectives stating how your training will address the need. Be sure to use the ABCD concept when developing your objectives.
Explain how you would design the training to be focused on adult participants using activity-based learning concepts. Include at least two activities you would have the participants complete.
Identify at least five resources, references, or materials you would use to develop the training materials, and explain how they will support the objectives. At least two of the five resources must be found in the CSU Online Library. These could include technical publications on your topic, scholarly articles, or videos.
Outline how your course would be delivered, including what resources would be needed (include such things as rooms, projectors, and other physical requirements as well as educational resources). Also, describe how you would plan the participants’ time and provide feedback on their actions and responses during the training, ensuring that you have policies in place to maintain control of the training.
Prepare a method for evaluating the training—provide at least five example questions that could be used to assess the participants’ retention of knowledge and evaluate the training’s course content and delivery.
Your project must be at least three pages in length. It is recommended that it be written in five sections that align with numbers 1 to 5 in the assignment instructions.
Be sure to cite all resources, references, and materials using APA Style and to provide in-text citations where appropriate.

Occupational Health & Safety Training: Burnout Program Proposal
Introduction
In 2019, the World Health Organization classified burnout as an occupational hazard because of its potential impact on the health and safety of employees. It is a state of emotional or physical exhaustion involving a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of identity (Moss, 2019). Factors like time pressure, lack of control over roles and tasks, moral injury, lack of support, and long working hours and shift work are among the hazard's causative and maintenance factors (WHO, 2019). Burnout not only increases the potential for mistakes and accidents in the workplace but also limits the productivity of employees and their commitment to organizational goals, objectives, and strategies. Prevention requires industrial, organizational (leadership and management), and employee participation. The current training proposal focuses on what employees can do to prevent burnout by enhancing occupation health and safety.
Resources and Objectives
The resources needed for the current proposal include access to research on burnout as an occupational hazard, information from organizations that have burnout experience, particularly in the health sector, and teaching material and equipment. As a result, the objectives of the training are as follows:
After reading the training resources through two training sessions, employees will outline the signs and symptoms of burnout so that they can report to the organizational therapist whenever the signs and symptoms feel burdensome.
After two training sessions, employees will explain at least two workplace conditions responsible for the signs and symptoms of burnout to better highlight them for the leadership and management to take action.
Training Design
The principles of adult learning theory guide training design: "self-direction, transformation, experience, mentorship, mental orientation, motivation, and readiness to learn" (Juбrez-Carrillo et al., 2016). The program is composed of five 30-minutes lesson modules in English. Each module has learning objectives to help employees pinpoint the workplace's signs, symptoms, effects, and causes of burnout and their role in overcoming them. Other module aspects include background information, a guide by the facilitator, presentation slides, and supplemental material. Since the program is activity-based learning, some of the core activities are as follows:
Narratives: In this activity, employees who have experienced burnout or are experiencing the signs and symptoms will talk about their experiences. The activity aims to reinforce the relevance of burnout as an occupation hazard based on individual stories.
Identification of Burnout (strain, stress, and fatigue) based on facial expressions and body posture through images and videos: In this activity, employees are exposed to videos and images of faces and body postures of different people at work. The aim is to tell the signs that an employee could be undergoing burnout.
