There is a need to preserve the environment and the general ecosystem since industrialization, globalization, and other advancements have interfered with it. Among the ways companies contribute to the preservation of the environment is by adopting green supply chain networks. Such companies include McDonald's Corporation and Walmart. These companies do this because the green supply chain network is good for the environment and is gaining popularity globally.
McDonald's Corporation is an American company that deals with fast foods. Formed in 1940, it was a restaurant that Richard and Maurice McDonald based in San Bernardino, California. The restaurant made good progress after it registered as a hamburger stall, then later turned franchise. It acquired its logo in 1955 and an additional shareholder, Ray Kroc, in 1955 before moving its headquarters from Illinois to Chicago in 2018. McDonald's is currently the most extensive company restaurant chain globally by revenue, serving sixty-nine million customers in more than 100 countries with more than 1.7 million employees ("McDonald's: Burgers, Fries & More.
