Global Versus International Strategy for a Toy Market
International marketing is the action plans and strategies to expand for a particular foreign market with different marketing strategies in each region. In contrast, the global market is entirely based on one digital advertising method and is universally deployed to all international markets (Gillespie & Swan, 2021). There is a huge difference in product offerings, particularly the toys, in global and international marketing, and some of the differences are discussed in the paper.
Difference 1: Services and Products Offerings
The first difference is that the global marketing strategies are based on foreign countries’ products and service offerings. Here, the businesses aim to emphasize a global marketing approach to meet the same toys products and services without any modification in products and marketing messages for each foreign country (Viswanathan & Sreekumar, 2021). On the other hand, international marketing focuses on custom tailoring to create products and services for a specific country. The purpose is to focus on going away from the universal dimension to meet children’s demands for an international market with similar offerings (Tien et al., 2019).
Difference 2: Marketing Research and Development
Marketing R&D is different into two types of marketing approaches. Global marketing believes in conducting shallow research compared to international marketing as it struggles to “fit in one market” and portrays the same message to the target individual. For example, Lego Group targets similar youngsters globally, and the purpose is to target all kids globally with one single marketing strategy.
