While Enterprise systems are packaged enterprise software, they can also be custom developed created to support specific needs of an organization (Kirit.com,2007).
From the aspect of hardware in a computer system, ES can be classified as the servers and other associated software that is used by large companies and their IT infrastructure. These systems are usually designed to manage a large amount of essential. These systems are designed to give high levels of performance of data.
Discussion
Enterprise systems usually lead to a development of a better-incorporated system within a company. This assists the organization to streamline organizational processes and workflow, thus improving the efficiency of an organization.
Nowadays organizations rely on information systems that support the conduct their operations in a reliable and efficient and store their information available and always updated. Some of these ES have been upgraded internally and covering just a small section of the processes of the organization (YouTube,2009).
The systems are not usually incorporated into other systems within the organization and hence need a greater level of manual execution to complete the operations. However, large-scale software packages are being integrated replacing the smaller systems.
