Paypal is an online payment transaction that allows people to send, receive, and store money online. However, customers are discouraged in using Paypal for storing money for a long time. The money stored has to be transferred to another bank account or cash-out from the Paypal account. This will give more security to the money. Paypal's business model is a transaction broker. Paypal acts as a third party to transactions that do not have legal agreements, to begin with (Ortiz & Lopez, 2004). For instance, a buyer has to pay for an order from a foreign country but could not forego with the payment because their bank account could not do foreign bank transfers. The buyer may send money from the bank account to the Paypal account and use Paypal to pay for the item from abroad. Paypal connects transactions that are unavailable to either the buyer or the seller.
