Market Global (MG) is a private-owned conglomerate that is situated in Atlanta and was established in 1939 as a family business. Today MG is regarded as one of the largest family businesses in the world and has branches across thirty-nine countries and has employed approximately 140,000 workers. Besides, the company’s revenues are worth over $90 billion. The company has a plant in Jakarta, Indonesia where opposition forces have invaded the capital. The conflicts have left people killed, and thousands of buildings have been destroyed. According to the United Nations, the situation in the country has become catastrophic, and there are no signs that the problem will get better.
The company’s executives are worried about the situation in Indonesia since it has affected the operation of the company’s branch at Jakarta, and this has affected the production of palm oil. Ray, the head of the company’s plant at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, has suggested that increasing production at 50% in this facility would help in solving the current problems. The CEO’s son Gregory Frieze has demanded Ray and Fitri to find a solution within twenty-four hours; otherwise, the company will be forced to close down.
