I have not always focused on branding myself, but I have used LinkedIn for branding over the past year. Optimizing branding can make one stand out, but one must focus on what makes them stand out and design a strategy that focuses on messaging targeting the right audience (Pérez & Gringarten, 2020). Using the correct tone in messaging and updates is equally essential in branding. In my experience, one e needs to make the right contacts, and branding is one way to facilitate this. A personal brand can be created offline, online, or in both avenues, and the latter is the best strategy to reach the target through different means.
While using LinkedIn, I request recommendations and validations from colleagues with whom you have worked and having a good professional reference can open doors. Networking extends to joining strategic groups that will promote my professional development. LinkedIn has a section on interests, and I do check out discussion groups. Personal branding ...
