The advice is good since it considers the aspect of financial prudence. It is indeed true that cash flow is the single most important factor when it comes to organizational growth. There is simply quite a lot that meets the eye when it comes to business growth and expansion. It usually calls for a lot of funds to be pumped into the expansion process, and if the books of account of the business are not that healthy, then it might not make a lot of sense to go ahead with the exercise. Also, expansion needs to be based on the available cash and not cash in promissory notes. Any hiccups with cash not in hand might be detrimental to organizational expansion.
