The Main Message of the Reading Through the reading, we can see that the authors are advancing the role of public health approaches in promoting health and preventing diseases. Concerning genomics, public health plays a critical role in ensuring that people have equitable access to treatments and can cope with the challenges arising in their health. Therefore, there is a need to understand how different treatment measures implemented impact the health outcomes of the people. Through the paper, the author utilized the CDC Science Impact Framework to understand how public health impacted the EGAPP Lynch Syndrome screening recommendation and the 2005 and 2013 USPSTF BRCA1 and BRCA2 testing recommendations.
