Classification of music entails putting music in its right genre and group with music that have shared characteristics placed under the same class. Over time, there has been debates over the significance of classifying music with some being for it while others against it.
I am in for the classification of music based on various reasons. First, it is much easier and faster to search and retrieve information about any music when type has been done. Through classification, music is systematically arranged into various sets and sub-sets that allow one to quickly identify and retrieve any information concerning music they are interested in (McKay and Fujinaga, 2005).
