The video and picture images produced by the media reflect what is important in the culture. Music videos are one of the ways through which ideas and values are presented. The most popular visualizations in modern music videos show viewers what is trending in terms of gender and sexuality. This research will analyze gender representations of men and women in music videos.
Theoretical Framework
Objectification theory will be used to illustrate the damaged music does to femininity. According to Daniels et al., objectification happens when women's bodies are used as objects of pleasure.
