Price is demonstrating elements of corporate social responsibility by his actions in the case. His actions of increasing wages for all employees and keeping them in the company during low revenue generation show responsibility, accountability, and competitiveness. He showed responsibility and accountability by understanding and addressing the financial needs that his employees were facing. By the name of Hayley Vogt, one of Price's employees admits that she was worried about how she would pay "rent increases and a recent emergency room bill" (Pg. 68). However, a salary increase is of great help to her. It is an accurate indication that Price is demonstrating corporate social responsibility. Besides, his competitiveness and responsibility are seen in the way he handles the issue without affecting customers. He addressed the social issue of wage inequality without raising prices for customers or reducing service delivery.
