The point of sexuality is quite broad, and this topic existent to the porn industry, race dynamics, and pleasure. In this discussion, the understanding of sex and its definition have been expanded. Penley et al. (2013) sought to unsettle conventional notions of sex. They defined the language of sex as an erotic phenomenon, an expression of identity, a power exchange, a cultural commodity, and as an item of a new politics. The debate on sexuality, eroticism, porn, and coupled with an intonation of racism, is volatile.
Arguable, sexuality has been seen as a source of pleasure but has been condemned in equal measure. It is quite hypocritical that people may criticize the issue of eroticism and sex, yet in secret, these people do enjoy all activities that entail sexuality. The sex and porn industry workers remained victims of violence. They are perceived as a threat to social order, criminal,’ vectors of disease,’ being illegitimate, as well as being a significant threat to morality (Filippa, 2018). The sex and porn pleasure remained repressed practices: most people criticize this practice, yet they fail to contextualize their existence. In the majority of angles, we look at the issue of sexuality, we see it as an epicenter of abuse and violence, as argued by other scholars like Lorde.
Lorde (1993) viewed eroticism in women as a source of power, and this type of erotic power lies deep within the feminine spiritual lane. Lorde opines that women are oppressed by distorting the theme of eroticism, which is perceived to be a source of power: people have been taught...
