Concepts of Eternal Life in the Christian Worldview Versus in Other Worldviews
The concept of eternal life is a source of great debate in all the generations that have walked this earth. It is a source of divergence for many worldviews. However, the Bible is very explicit about how a person can earn eternal life to enable Christians to prepare for the life to come.
One of the best and most direct answers offered in the New Testament on how one can enter the Kingdom of God (eternal life) is in John 3:1-5, where Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus the Pharisee. Jesus tells Nicodemus that for a man to enter the Kingdom of God, he has to be born again. Jesus differentiates between the initial birth of a child in the flesh, from the conscious decision to be born again in the Spirit, which is being born again.
