Applying this standard definition to recent examples of Operational Risk, you will be able to articulate and explain the concept of Operational Risk.

Working independently, perform a search to identify four public examples of Operational Risk events and provide a brief explanation (one or two paragraphs) for each event explaining what failed and why it can be considered an OR event while utilizing the definition of Operational Risk. As a result, operational managers must ensure that the company complies with all legal obligations to reduce the risk of harming the company’s reputation.

The Plex data breach was an operational risk categorized under system risks. System risks refer to the threat of data and privacy losses and poor interpersonal performance as a consequence of improper internal operations. In this event, Plex had data and information loss of their clients that included usernames, passwords, and confidential messages. Many individuals' data being publicly available harmed Plex’s trust. This kind of system comprises inter-branch connections, information systems, and power backup infrastructures. They add to the risk involved with operations.
