What do you find to be the strength of this essay?
The strength of the essay comes from the use of a case to highlight problem the essay intends to handle. The author makes sure that the example used helps to bring out the main point he/she wants to communicate.
What are two areas of the essay that can be improved? How?
The use of another case to help show that the problem of patient discrimination is one that is widely shared.
The author should also have considered using more sources to help enhance the credibility of what was being communicated.
What aspect of the writing could use the most attention during revisions (transitions, grammar, structure, word choice, etc.)?
There were some problems in grammar and the transition sentences lacked. It was difficult to know one was reading a new paragraph. Transition words should have helped ensure a smooth transition from one paragraph to the next.
Grammar is also a problem and some sentences need to be changed. While the message of the essay is well communicated, the grammar appears to be lacking and has a lot of mistakes.
What do you find compelling or original?
