For this assignment, complete Parts 1, 2, and 3. Use the GCU website and the Student Success Center to find answers.
Part 1: Academics
In which COE-specific program of study are you enrolled?

I am enrolled for a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Identify the required courses in your program.

SPD-200, GOV-260, ELM-200, MAT-150, HIS-144, CWV-101, ESL-440N, ELM-210, 470, 361, 480, 250, 361

In addition to Student Teaching, which courses in your program require practicum/field experience hours (Refer to course descriptions on the GCU.edu website)?

ELM 210, 250, 361, 470, 480

Which courses do you anticipate being the most challenging? Why?

I anticipate that Maths will be the most challenging course. The course will be like learning how to ride a bike. I can be easily distracted by the course since it is not part of my interests. Although I am unsure of the other classes, I hope they will enjoy them as part of the program.

What skills or resources will you need for this program of study, and how will you acquire them?

I believe determination and grit will be critical for completing the program. I have nurtured the skills to complete the study program and attain other goals. I will acquire these skills by undertaking related courses and practicing them later.

After exploring the resources on the COE page within the Student Success Center, which resources will be the most helpful to you?

I am glad that the campus has numerous resources that can be helpful in my academics. Nerd Heard, Professor office, video library, and education forums are some resources that would significantly impact my academics. Besides, career excellence and academic centers can serve a significant purpose in my educational endeavors.

Part 2: Spirituality
How does the One Foundation video (https://vimeo.com/282365322) discuss the integration of faith, learning, and work at GCU? (/why-gcu/christian-identity-and-mission)

According to the One Foundation Video, I have a reaffirmation that the integration of Christian perspective and faith are fundamental aspects for academic success on campus. It is part of the university’s mission to ensure that every student can succeed academically and spiritually. The first video reveals impressive statistics from student surveys regarding positive Christian integration in various educational endeavors. Notably, the faculty established a positive learning environment that would suit students’ needs. The second video clearly illustrates that GCU wants students to integrate their faith in learning activities and focus on becoming professionals in various fields. An essential doctrine is that all vocations honor God and that students should be prepared to recognize God in their educational endeavors. The third video is on the core beliefs of Christian organizations and a foundation for how people live their lives. I intend to apply the principles in my experience at GCU by adhering to the Ethical position’s statement and doctrinal statements.
