Aesop's Fables as Cautionary Tales
Children see the world differently from adults and young children tend to assume that others see the world same way they do.
For over 2,000 years, Aesop's Fables have served as cautionary tales, demonstrating to children that other people or animals may see the world quite differently than they do.

The Lion and the Mouse from Aesop's fable are good examples of the group's fable, whereby the Lion was in a desperate situation in the forest. He was resting, a timid mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and a lion was ready to kill her. Mouse begged the Lion to spare him, and one day he would come and rescue him; luckily, the Lion released the Mouse. A few days later, Lion was in danger after hunters netted him, and the little Mouse was the one who came to his rescue and assisted him to free away. Both characters find themselves in an awkward situation.

The sympathy led Lion to let go of the timid Mouse, although Lion was unsure how the Mouse would ass...
