The endocrine system in human body is responsible for the production of hormones that are used to regulate the various processes and actions in the body. The activities of certain cells and organs need to be regulated because they can cause harm to the body without effective regulation. The hormones are secreted differently based on their functions and target location of action. Their secretion will influence the responses of the specific organs or cells within the body.
 
2. Why aren’t hormones generally injected into or fed to livestock? What are possible means by which injectable or feed-based hormones could be used for livestock? What improvements could be made in implanted growth agents to make them more effective and reduce any residual agent concentrations in the animals?
