1. What was important about the piece you were asked to read/watch?
The most important part of the video was the narrative of real people who were affected by COVID and fake news (VICE News). After having gone through COVID and surviving it, some people got cynical and believed that maybe it was just a ruse to sell vaccines or some other conspiracy theories. Many people died of COVID but perhaps one of the most disappointing events that happened was that even though it was a serious global problem, there are so many fake news that circulated, so much so that people went without regard for the health of others and themselves because of the fake news.
